Outdoor Play Fence Set – Made from FSC eucalyptus and suitable for inside and outside. Kit includes 2 x Long Fences measuring 88(W)cm (MR10245). Made from FSC timber. Contents may vary.

This eucalyptus play fence set is excellent for making play spaces and for general role play. Each fence features high visibility ends and is suitable for use both indoors and outside. We recommend to regularly oil this fence with a natural oil to maintain the beautiful timber finish. All timber used in this item is approved by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This is the world’s most rigorous labelling system for timber products, and is the only forest label supported by the World Wildlife Fund, Greenpeace and the Australian Conservation Fund. FSC approval ensures that this item is an environmentally friendly and sustainable option for the classroom.

These fences are excellent to create play spaces as well as a role play resource or a home corner furniture piece. Simple assembly is required. Each play fence measures 88cm wide x 35cm deep x 52cm high.

Room dividers, and partitions, are well suited to early childhood and care settings as well as school learning environments. These play fence room dividers compliment a variety of school learning settings including open floor spaces, informal soft furnishings and individual seating where students engage in a range of learning modes. Not only can they be used as a traditional partition, but can be used to define a learning area, act as a room divider or create break away areas in open spaces- both indoors and outdoors!

Timber Maintenance Guide
1. We recommend to clean your outdoor furniture several times a year. We suggest to use an outdoor wood furniture cleaner and follow their instructions. Also remove any cobwebs, leaves or dirt before cleaning and dry thoroughly in the sun after cleaning. We don’t recommend a high pressure washer.

2. We recommend to sand and oil your furniture as required throughout the year. The weather will deteriorate timber so the location of the furniture and the weather such as rain and humidity will wear timber at different rates. Using a natural furniture oil will help to maintain the beautiful colour of the timber and hold the necessary moisture in the wood. Please follow the manufacturer’s directions for oiling. Usually only a light sand is needed.

3. If your outdoor furniture gets wet, we suggest that you dry it out in the sun. This will help to prevent mould and wood rot.

4. For best longevity of your outdoor furniture we also suggest that you keep it undercover or cover it when not in use. If the furniture can be kept under a roof out of direct weather and sun, it will help to make the most out of your furniture.

5. The metal hardware can become loose over time, so we recommend that you check the screws, hinges and bolts throughout the year. This will help to keep the furniture strong and in the best working condition.

Our outdoor furniture is made from hardwood Eucalyptus and is suitable for outdoor use. However as with all timber, the weather will wear the wood. When left outdoors eucalyptus furniture will naturally weather to a silver grey colour. You will begin to notice the “greying” after a few months,
depending on the amount of sun and rain your furniture is exposed to. You may even notice a few small cracks which is not a structural defect, but a perfectly natural process, as the wood expands and contracts, adjusting to the elements.

Following the above guide on a regular basis will help to maintain the beauty, integrity and strength of the timber and allows you to get the most enjoyment from the furniture.
