chroma-2-paint-2-l-black
Chroma 2 Paint 2 L - Black

Chroma 2 Paint - Black (2L) is a premium-quality, non-toxic acrylic paint made in Australia and formulated specifically for use in primary and secondary school art classes. With a rich, creamy consistency and high pigment load, this versatile paint delivers excellent coverage and vibrant colour across a range of applications, including screen printing, lino block printing, and mono printing. Its unique drying properties prevent it from setting completely hard, allowing for easy clean-up from brushes and tools even after the paint has dried. This also makes it ideal for layering and reworking, as dry layers exhibit excellent œholdout, meaning they can be blended or painted over without lifting or reactivating the original layer. Although not fully waterproof, Chroma 2 offers a flexible and workable finish that supports a wide variety of classroom techniques and creative expressions. Given the intense pigmentation, it is recommended that students wear protective clothing or aprons during use to prevent staining.

Educational Benefits

Encourages Creativity - Supports diverse applications including painting, printing, and layering.

Easy Clean-up - Formulation allows for simple washing of tools and brushes before hard drying.

Promotes Experimentation - Blending into dry layers helps teach advanced painting techniques.

Versatile Application - Suitable for various printmaking and painting styles across year levels.

Classroom Ideas

Screen Printing Projects - Use on paper or fabric for bold prints and stencil work.

Lino Block Printing - Create textured, repeatable designs and pattern studies.

Blending Demonstrations - Showcase how to work wet-on-dry without reactivating previous layers.

Mixed Media Artworks - Combine with collage and texture mediums for layered compositions.

Product Specifications

Size: 2L

Colour: Black

Finish: Creamy, semi-permanent

Application: Painting, screen printing, lino block printing, mono printing

Cleaning: Easily washes out of brushes and equipment before drying completely

Safety: Non-toxic, suitable for school use

Recommended Use: Protective clothing or aprons recommended due to high pigmentation

Made In: Australia

Pack Size: 1 bottle of 2L
