chroma-2-paint-2-l-brown
Chroma 2 Paint 2 L - Brown

Chroma 2 Paint - Brown (2L) is a high-quality, non-toxic, Australian-made paint designed specifically for the needs of primary and secondary school art classrooms. With a rich, creamy consistency and high pigment load, this versatile paint offers excellent coverage and colour intensity, making it ideal for multiple art techniques, including silk screen printing, lino block printing, mono printing, and traditional brushwork. One of its standout features is its unique drying quality-it does not set completely hard, allowing for easy clean-up from brushes and tools even after drying. This also supports advanced creative techniques, such as layering and blending back into dry paint, offering students the chance to experiment with depth and texture. While not fully waterproof, Chroma 2 maintains a flexible and semi-permanent finish that is well-suited for both individual and collaborative projects in classroom or studio settings. Due to its high pigmentation, the use of protective aprons or clothing is recommended to prevent staining.

Educational Benefits

Encourages Creativity - Perfect for various art techniques, allowing broad creative expression.

Easy Clean-up - Washes out of brushes and tools with water before fully drying.

Promotes Experimentation - Enables students to explore reworking and layering dried paint.

Versatile Application - Effective across multiple printmaking and painting processes.

Classroom Ideas

Fabric and Paper Screen Printing - Use for vibrant classroom print projects.

Textured Printmaking - Combine with lino blocks for detailed, repeatable designs.

Acrylic Painting Techniques - Teach dry-over-wet and dry-over-dry methods with blending.

Mixed Media Exploration - Incorporate with pastels, collage, or stamping for rich, layered artworks.

Product Specifications

Size: 2L

Colour: Brown

Finish: Creamy, semi-permanent

Application: Painting, screen printing, lino block printing, mono printing

Cleaning: Easily washes out of brushes and equipment before drying completely

Safety: Non-toxic, suitable for school use

Recommended Use: Protective clothing or aprons recommended due to high pigmentation

Made In: Australia

Pack Size: 1 bottle of 2L
