chroma-2-paint-2-l-white
Chroma 2 Paint 2 L - White

Chroma 2 Paint - White (2L) is a non-toxic, Australian-made acrylic paint developed for primary and secondary school art programs, offering a creamy consistency and strong opacity that ensures smooth, reliable coverage. This highly pigmented paint is suitable for a variety of creative techniques including silk screen printing, lino block printing, mono printing, and traditional painting. Its unique formulation means the paint does not dry completely hard, allowing for easy clean-up from brushes and tools-even after use. Chroma 2 is known for its excellent œholdout quality, meaning dry layers can be blended or painted over without reactivating the surface, enabling students to explore layering and mixed-media effects with confidence. While the finish is not waterproof, it is semi-permanent and flexible, making it well-suited for classroom and studio settings. The neutral white colour is essential for colour mixing, highlights, and backgrounds, making it a staple in any art program. Due to the paint's high pigmentation, the use of aprons or protective clothing is advised during use.

Educational Benefits

Encourages Creativity - Ideal for foundational colour work, mixing, and printmaking techniques.

Easy Clean-up - Washes easily from tools and brushes before fully setting.

Promotes Experimentation - Supports reworking of dry layers for depth and tonal variation.

Versatile Application - Suitable for printing, painting, layering, and underpainting.

Classroom Ideas

Monochrome or Contrast Projects - Use white for contrast work or minimalist compositions.

Mixing Exercises - Teach colour theory and tinting by blending white with other tones.

Printmaking Foundations - Apply to dark backgrounds for negative space exploration.

Collaborative Artworks - Use for class murals, base coats, and shared visual storytelling.

Product Specifications

Size: 2L

Colour: White

Finish: Creamy, semi-permanent

Application: Painting, screen printing, lino block printing, mono printing

Cleaning: Easily washes out of brushes and equipment before drying completely

Safety: Non-toxic, suitable for school use

Recommended Use: Protective clothing or aprons recommended due to high pigmentation

Made In: Australia

Pack Size: 1 bottle of 2L

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0626/7633/6753/files/chr9048_chroma-2-white-2-litre-paint_v1_1.webp?v=1768791618
