Specially designed for young learners, this easy-to-mould clay supports a variety of creative and curriculum-based projects such as modelling animals, insects, name plaques, and imaginative sculptures. The soft and pliable texture allows children to shape their designs with their hands or tools. Once left to air dry at room temperature for 24 hours, the clay hardens to a smooth, light grey finish, ready for painting and decorating.

This clay can also be used with the pottery wheel (AM1261) to form bowls, plates, or vases. For more permanent results, it may be kiln-fired at 1100 °C to 1200 °C (2012 °F to 2192 °F) under adult supervision, transforming it into porcelain. Children can then customise their pieces using porcelain paints and protect the final product with a varnish coating. These activities build fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and instil a sense of accomplishment in learners. The 10kg bulk pack includes 10 x 1kg individually sealed packs, making it practical for group activities or art programs. This product is gluten, wheat and lactose free, making it safe and inclusive for all students.

Educational Use

Supports fine motor and coordination skills - through hands-on modelling.

Promotes creative thinking and self-expression - with open-ended sculpting.

Links to curriculum learning - through themed or science-based models.

Encourages pride in finished artwork - with take-home or gift-worthy pieces.

Classroom Ideas

Model bugs, animals or symbols - from science or culture units.

Use with a pottery wheel - to craft functional ceramic items.

Create gift projects - such as keepsakes, ornaments or mini sculptures.

Paint and varnish finished pieces - to enhance and protect children's work.

Contents

10kg Grey Air Dry Ceramic Clay

Contains 10 x 1kg individually wrapped packs

Product Specifications

Brand: Creatistics

Colour: Grey (dries to light grey)

Drying Time: 24 hours at room temperature

Kiln Firing: Yes - 1100 °C to 1200 °C (2012 °F to 2192 °F)

Finish: Smooth and paintable

Sealable: Yes - can be varnished after decorating

Shelf Life: Approx. 1.5 years

Storage: Store in an airtight container to prevent drying

Reactivation: Add water to restore pliability if dried out

Allergens: Free from gluten, wheat and lactose

Safety: Non-toxic and suitable for educational use

Colour Options Available: Grey, White, Terracotta

Pack Size: 10kg (10 x 1kg packs)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0626/7633/6753/files/kc1023_creatistics-air-dry-ceramic-clay-grey-10kg_v1_5.jpg?v=1760000859
