The square shape prevents them from rolling off surfaces and allows for both precise line work and broad colour coverage.

With a soft and smooth consistency, these pastels blend effortlessly using fingers, blending stumps, or brushes to create rich tonal variations and texture. Ideal for use on slightly textured pastel paper or card, these sticks grip well to the surface, making them suitable for landscape, portrait, still life, and life drawing projects. They can also be used alongside charcoal and pencil drawings to enhance compositions with a burst of colour. For longevity and layering, a workable fixative spray can be used to seal work or allow additional layers.

Educational Benefits

Enhances Creative Expression - Offers a wide colour range to explore artistic imagination.

Supports Tonal Awareness - Teaches shading, depth, and value using colour gradation.

Builds Fine Motor Skills - Refines control and coordination in detailed applications.

Encourages Layering Techniques - Promotes understanding of overlay, texture, and colour blending.

Classroom Ideas

Portrait workshops - Use skin tones and blending to create expressive faces.

Mixed media activities - Combine pastels with charcoal or ink for texture-rich compositions.

Seasonal landscapes - Create vibrant outdoor scenes using a full colour palette.

Tone & texture exercises - Explore stippling, scumbling, and crosshatching methods.

Product Specifications

Contents: 48 assorted soft pastel sticks

Stick Size: 6.6(L) x 1(W)cm

Shape: Square for detailed and broad applications

Use: Wet or dry techniques

Surface Compatibility: Best on textured pastel paper or card

Blending Tools: Fingers, stumps, or brushes

Fixative: Compatible with workable fixative spray

Safety: Fade-resistant and non-toxic

Pack Size: 48

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0626/7633/6753/files/mun013_mungyo-soft-pastels-assorted-box-of-48_v1_1.webp?v=1760001531
