This comprehensive kit includes 10 decks of the School Friendly Playing Cards (PSB527) and the companion book, School Friendly Cards (PSB528), which is filled with practical and engaging activity ideas. The cards replace traditional playing card elements such as Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Aces with numbers from 0 to 13. Instead of suits, the cards feature four colours paired with basic geometric shapes-triangles, rectangles, squares, and circles-allowing children to explore numbers, colours, and shapes without any gambling associations. The shapes are arranged in subitising patterns, supporting early numeracy development. This kit encourages creativity, cooperation, and the exploration of foundational maths concepts in a safe and friendly format. It's an ideal resource for educators looking to support numeracy, logic, patterning, and social learning through structured play.

Educational Benefits:

Reinforces number recognition and subitising up to 13.

Supports shape and colour identification through consistent patterns.

Removes gambling-related elements, fostering safe and inclusive learning.

Provides diverse learning activities with the included educator guidebook.

Classroom Ideas:

Use suggested activities from the included book during maths rotations.

Facilitate small group games focusing on addition, subtraction, or sequencing.

Create shape and colour sorting challenges to reinforce early concepts.

Introduce pattern-building and logic games using multiple decks at once.

Information:

Ages: Suitable for Foundation to Year 3

Measurements: Standard card size - approximately 8.8 cm (H) x 6.3 cm (W); book approx.
