Description

Glass jars are great for storage as children can see what is inside such as pom poms, sequins, pop sticks or if you take off the lid then you can store your brushes. You can also paint the jars with glass paint, remove the lid and add a tea light for that homely feel.

Glass jars are a fantastic source of craft. You can decorate the jar anyway way you wish. Glue transparent paper around the jar using a good craft glue. You can then make a lovely hanging ornament by wrapping thin wire or twine around the neck of the glass jar to make a hanger. Children can use chalkboard paint to make a label in which they can use chalk to write on a name, a message, to identify what is stored in the jar. Fill glass jars with coloured sand and layering the sand in multicolored layers. The colourful jar can then be placed around the home or classroom as a decorative piece. You may also wish to try adding food dye to pva glue, mix well then using a large paint brush, paint the outside or inside of the glass jar. Allow to dry. The result is a frosted coloured jar to which you can add embellishments or leave as a simple effect. We do not recommend this if you wish to wash the jar. As the dye will come off.

This jar is intended for craft storage and decoration. We do not recommend heating or using hot liquid in this jar. Maximum temperature should not exceed 70 degrees Celsius.
