This colourful wooden solar system set gives children the opportunity to learn about the location of planets in our solar system, differences in size, planet names and characteristics.

 

The wooden base plate of this set has indented spaces for the wooden planet balls to sit in. Each spot is labelled with the name of the planet. There is a ring on the board for each planet, to help children easily understand which planets are closest to the sun.

 

The brightly coloured planets are perfect for young children, and allow them to get hands-on with space!

 

This set includes an educational guide, some cards with real photographs of the planets, and a cloth bag to store the planets.

 

The educational guide tells children if it’s a planet, star or moon. It also shows the name in multiple languages, the temperature, distance from the sun, location in the order of the planets, and the level of luminosity.

 

The diameter of the sun is 4.5 cm.

 

Suitable for children ages 3+ years.
