Rainbow phonics magnetic letters set with unique in-built magnetic board. Children can build new words on the magnetic board as they discover new letter patterns and develop their phonetic awareness and literacy skills and understanding. Manipulative games like these encourage children to explore letters or words by moving them in attempts to convey meaning.

A phonics progression teaching guide is included to introduce new letters week by week, try a few of these fun, multi-sensory activities to help students master important early literacy skills. Foam letters are color-coded and include vowels, consonants, digraphs, vowel digraphs, changeable vowel sounds, r-controlled and split digraphs. The letters can also be used with Rainbow Phonics Word Farm and Word City Learning Landscape boards.

The best way early childhood educators and teachers can encourage emergent reading is by creating classrooms and learning environments rich with literacy by surrounding children with meaningful text and learning experiences that encourage print awareness, emergent writing skills and phonological awareness. By creating a literacy-rich environment, children will make connections between different forms and functions of print, including how isolated letters and sounds come together to make words and sentences. A blended approach to teaching literacy can be very meaningful by including multiple opportunities for children to interact with letters and print.
