These ocean cushions can help to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere in any early years or school classroom. Excellent for reading areas, libraries, role play and flexible learning spaces. This set includes 6 cushions including the thickly padded, foam inserts and the digitally printed covers. These ocean cushions feature separate inserts and covers. The covers are machine washable on a gentle setting. We recommend to line dry in the shade. Each of the ocean cushions measure 50cm wide x 50cm long. Each cushion cover fabric is made from a polyester velvet fabric. These cushions and pillows feature graphic prints in different blue tones. They are soft to touch and can create a wonderfully comfortable space. These cushions have been treated with an anti microbial product from Fresche Bioscience. This antimicrobial treatment scan kill up to 99.9% of odour causing bacteria. It can also help to prevent the formation of harmful biofilms, and helps to prevent infestation of dust mites. This new anti-microbial treatment also inhibits the growth of mould, mildew and fungus in these sheets. This treatment does wear away over time with washing, and so it does not last forever. This time will depend on how often the cushion covers are washed and how they are washed and dried.Please note this cushion cover is not for outdoor use. Cushions and soft furnishings help to create warm and inviting spaces for play and learning. Using cushions and soft furnishings such as carpets, fabrics and canopies also help to reduce the noise level as they absorb sounds unlike hard surfaces which bounce sounds around a room. Using a variety of textures, fabrics, colours and materials helps to create an environment that is visually appealing and stimulating, but also calming. The learning environment should be comfortable and welcoming for children, parents and educators. Young children respond differently, based on the design, the types of resources, and the materials used in the environment. An effectively designed classroom has the potential to positively influence all areas of a child’s development, including physical, social, emotional and cognitive. Soft furnishings are excellent when dividing up spaces and are perfect for use in quiet areas such as libraries, reading nooks and for making small spaces for children and students who require a calmer environment. They are very suitable for use in flexible learning environments. Offering children and students options for sitting other than a traditional chair. Cushions can provide comfortable seating for the floor and some can be taken outdoors also. WARNING: A cushion is not a safe sleeping surface for an infant under 12 months of age.
