Designed to follow on from the Jolly Phonics Pupil Books 1, 2 and 3, the Grammar 3 Pupil Book continues to build foundational literacy skills by introducing more advanced grammar and spelling rules. Specifically developed for children aged 7 to 8, this engaging workbook supports the development of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and reading comprehension skills through structured weekly lessons. With one grammar or punctuation lesson and one spelling lesson per week, the book provides 36 of each across the year, giving students plenty of opportunities for reinforcement and practice. Children will encounter a wide range of topics including proper adjectives, collective nouns, conjunctions, suffixes such as ˜less', ˜able', and ˜ful', and the function of nouns as adjectives. New spelling patterns such as tch, dge, ure, and gn are introduced alongside more complex phonetic variations. The content also includes lessons on paragraph structure, speech punctuation, and identifying subject and object in sentences.
