Phase 1 Workbook - Phonemic Awareness

Phonemic Awareness Phase 1 Workbook activities progress week by week around Phase 1 of the Letters & Sounds systematic phonics program. This workbook supports children as they begin to learn the 44 letter sounds of the English language. The Phonics Workbook has been designed for students from 4 years of age, and is the first of six workbooks that together form the Letters & Sounds Workbook program. As your child begins to sound out words in each activity, they will also develop their skills in reading and spelling, while having fun at the same time! Please note that there is a mixture of precursive and print fonts-precursive for letter and word-level work to support handwriting and print font for text-level work to support reading.
This workbook is ideal for introducing students to key phonemic awareness concepts such as environmental sounds, alliteration, and oral blending and segmenting. The clear structure makes it easy for educators and parents to implement consistently. Activities are scaffolded to gradually build children's confidence and familiarity with spoken sounds, laying the groundwork for successful reading and writing.
