Phase 2 Workbook - Letter Sounds

Learn to read, write and spell at home or at school, all while having fun! Letter Sounds Workbook activities progress week by week around Phase 2 of the Letters & Sounds systematic phonics program. This workbook supports children as they begin to learn the 44 letter sounds of the English language. The Letter Sounds Workbook has been designed for 4+ year olds, and is the second of six workbooks that together form the Letters & Sounds Workbook program. As your student begins to sound out words in each activity, they will also develop their skills in reading and spelling, while having fun at the same time! Please note that there is a mixture of precursive and print fonts-precursive for letter and word-level work to support handwriting and print font for text-level work to support reading.
Phase 2 introduces students to grapheme-phoneme correspondences, focusing on single letters and their sounds. It includes phonics-based tasks such as identifying initial sounds, blending to read simple CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words, and segmenting words to spell. This workbook builds early literacy confidence and independence by reinforcing systematic phonics instruction. It is ideal for use alongside decodable readers or hands-on phonics games to support multisensory learning.
