Phase 6 Workbook - Spelling

Learn to read, write and spell at home or at school, all while having fun! Spelling Phase 6 Workbook activities progress week by week around Phase 6 of the Letters & Sounds systematic phonics program. This workbook supports children as they begin to learn the 44 letter sounds of the English language. The Spelling Workbook has been designed for 6+ year olds, and is the sixth of six workbooks that together form the Letters & Sounds Workbook program. As your child begins to sound out words in each activity, they will also develop their skills in reading and spelling, while having fun at the same time! Please note that there is a mixture of precursive and print fonts. Precursive for letter and word-level work to support handwriting and print font for text-level work to support reading. This phase consolidates phonics knowledge while introducing higher-level spelling rules, such as adding suffixes, irregular words and morphological strategies. The workbook bridges phonics and grammar by encouraging children to apply their knowledge to a wider range of vocabulary, improving fluency and independent writing. It prepares students for upper primary by deepening their spelling and linguistic awareness.
