A beautiful set of round wood cushions for the classroom. These wood cushions are made from a soft polyester velvet fabric. This fabric provides a wonderful sensory experience. This wood cushions set includes 6 round pillows that each measures 35cm in diameter x 5cm thick. The covers are removable and are also machine washable in cold water. These cushions are also a great for storytime and small group times, or a way to help support social distancing & physical distancing in the classroom- visually indicating a cosy spot for each child to sit.

This resource will create a warm and authentic atmosphere in any environment. Using a variety of textures, fabrics, colours and materials helps to create an environment that is visually appealing and stimulating, but also calming. The learning environment should be comfortable and welcoming for children, parents and educators. Young children respond differently, based on the design, the types of resources, and the materials used in the environment. An effectively designed classroom has the potential to positively influence all areas of a child’s development, including physical, social, emotional and cognitive.

These cushions have been treated with an anti microbial product from Fresche Bioscience. This antimicrobial treatment scan kill up to 99.9% of odour causing bacteria. It can also help to prevent the formation of harmful biofilms, and helps to prevent infestation of dust mites. This new anti-microbial treatment also inhibits the growth of mould, mildew and fungus in these sheets. This treatment does wear away over time with washing, and so it does not last forever. This time will depend on how often the cushion covers are washed and how they are washed and dried.

The polyester used in this cushion cover has been tested to the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Appendix 6 requirements. This ensures that the raw polyester is free from harmful chemicals such as AZO colourants, nickel and lead. This rigorous testing system takes into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances, which may be harmful to human health. In many cases the limit values for the STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements.
