Stack Tower invites children to build beautiful towers while playfully exploring shapes, colours and spatial awareness. With twelve sample cards, you can play this game at different difficulty levels, following the visual models to recreate each structure step by step. Children can also ignore the cards and design their own imaginative towers, experimenting with balance, height and pattern as they go. The set includes 12 cards, 42 wooden blocks and 1 rope, all neatly stored in a compact box. The sturdy wooden blocks feel satisfying in little hands, while the illustrated cardboard cards provide clear, visual challenges that grow with the learner. The rope can be incorporated into play to define building areas, create "construction lines" or add an extra layer of challenge. As children build, they naturally develop fine motor skills, visual discrimination and spatial awareness - noticing how different shapes fit together, how colours can be grouped and how towers stay standing (or topple). Stack Tower works beautifully as a quiet, focused activity for one child or as a cooperative challenge for small groups, making it an ideal addition to classrooms, OSHC programs and home learning spaces.

Educational benefits:

  • Builds fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as children grasp, place and carefully balance the wooden blocks.
  • Strengthens visual discrimination, encouraging children to notice and compare shapes, sizes and colours when following the sample cards.
  • Develops spatial awareness and problem-solving as children work out how to replicate 2D card images in 3D tower form.
  • Encourages persistence, planning and flexible thinking as children experiment, adjust and try again when towers wobble or fall.

Classroom ideas:

  • Use the easier sample cards in maths or construction rotations, then gradually introduce more complex cards as confidence grows.
  • Invite children to create their own "challenge cards" by drawing tower designs for classmates to build.
  • Incorporate vocabulary such as tall, short, beside, on top, under, in front and behind to support maths and language development.
  • Set up cooperative tower challenges where pairs or small groups work together to build within a time limit or using only certain shapes or colours.
