Jolly Grammar Pupil Book Precursive 4

The Grammar 4 Pupil Book marks the fifth year in the Jolly Phonics and Grammar programme and continues to strengthen foundational language skills in children aged 8-9. Designed to follow the Jolly Phonics Pupil Books 1, 2, and 3, this book extends learning through structured and engaging weekly lessons. It builds on previous knowledge and introduces increasingly complex grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules. Students work through 36 spelling and 36 grammar/punctuation lessons across the academic year, reinforcing their ability to analyse and construct grammatically accurate sentences while enhancing vocabulary and writing style. Activities are varied and interactive, helping learners deepen their understanding of core language concepts. Key topics include concrete and abstract nouns, onomatopoeia, agreements in sentence structure, clauses (including independent clauses), hyphens, parsing of verbs, infinitives, antonyms, synonyms, and homophones.
