Playing with Planets

This Playing with Planets set of 8 wooden blocks shows the planets of our solar system beautifully illustrated on one side and the names and diameters (in km) of planets written on another side. Solar system blocks include Mercury, Mars, Earth, Saturn, Venus, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune.

Blocks are proportional sizes to provide young children with an accurate idea of which planets are the largest, and which are the smallest! Children can have fun stacking these planet blocks, ordering them from largest to smallest, sorting them by colour, drawing the planet images onto paper, learning the names of different planets, and learning to read numbers for the diameter measurements too! Develop fine motor skills, critical thinking, creativity, and introduce literacy and numeracy while they play.
