Farmyard Footprints - There are always plenty of animals to see down on the farm, but sometimes you need to follow their footprints to find them. Bring the farm to school! Each double-sided stone has the raised footprint of an animal on one side and an image of the animal indented into the other side.

Press the footprint into the sand, mud or soil and create tracks for the children to follow. Set out some clues for them to have them trying to solve the footprint mystery. A great way for educators to encourage science discovery to stimulate questions such as does it have claws, nails or hooves? Educators can also play a matching game of the image to the footprint. Let the children experiment with their own footprints and compare to the animal prints. Are any footprints similar? what shape are they? A fun filled lesson to stimulate investigative behaviour in children.

Footprints include cow, horse, sheep, pig, dog, cat, chicken and duck. This lovely set of footprints are made from a unique stone mix, they are robust enough to be used throughout an early years setting for both in an indoor and outdoor environment.
